Diversity and inclusion through work is a key issue for companies and organizations and, ultimately, a societal issue for a more just and peaceful living together.
For nearly twenty years, companies have chosen to address these issues, anxious to respond to compliance requirements (depending on the geographical area in which they are established - for example in France: equal pay for men and women, parity on boards of directors, acceptance of workers with disabilities, etc.) and to be perceived as committed employer brands that contribute positively to society.
Beyond these regulatory and societal requirements, we at InclusEO are convinced that implementing D&I policies is a business solution. Indeed, according to recent studies by BCG and the International Labor Office, companies that take up these issues have increased productivity and therefore profitability.
In general, employees who feel accepted in their companies and are proud to work there result in reduced absenteeism and attrition, increased well-being, and improved talent acquisition and retention. In addition, a more diverse workforce is more innovative. Thus, D&I is a productivity lever as well as a social commitment and must be at the heart of the global strategy of companies.
